Raider Study Rally

Office of Student Success

The Office of Student Success will host its inaugural Raider Study Rally on Wednesday, December 3, from 6–9 p.m. in the Walker Library Tutoring Spot. This event is designed to support students as they prepare for final exams by providing access to tutoring, study strategies, peer learning, and academic resources. Students are encouraged to bring class materials, study with peers, and engage in a structured environment that promotes academic success. Snacks and encouragement will be provided to foster motivation and focus during this critical time.

Faculty

How Faculty Can Support Student Participation

Faculty play a major role in helping students take advantage of this opportunity. You can support in the following ways:

  • Announce the event in class and encourage students to attend, particularly those who may benefit from structured preparation time.
  • Include the event flyer or details in D2L for easy student access and visibility.
  • Offer extra credit or incentives to students who participate (attendance verification can be provided).
  • Share common content challenges or high-impact practice problems with tutoring staff to strengthen session alignment.
  • Encourage study groups or partner-based attendance to increase engagement and learning outcomes.

Students

What You’ll Get at the Rally

  • Access to tutors for help in core subjects
  • Study tips, strategies, and resource guidance
  • A productive atmosphere to review notes and complete assignments
  • Snacks, motivation, and the space to focus
  • An opportunity to study with peers and form prep groups

How You Can Make the Most of This Event

  • Bring your class notes, study guides, assignments, or review materials
  • Come with a friend or form a study group when you arrive
  • Create a short list of topics or questions you want help with
  • Stay as long as you need — even one hour of focused study helps
  • Set goals for the night (finish a chapter, complete a review sheet, master one concept, etc.)

Your success matters — and you don’t have to prepare for finals alone. Come study, learn, connect, and finish the semester confident and ready.
